Stoke-on-Trent Circle mourn the death of Kathleen Jupp, wife of Brother Kenneth Jupp. She died on 4th June. Her father, Patrick McKnight, was a founding brother of Stoke-on-Trent Circle. Kathleen and Kenneth, both teachers in Catholic schools, met through their shared interest in cine photography. They married in December 1955. Kenneth joined Stoke-on-Trent Circle in 1962. In 2012, Kathleen remarked that she had been connected with Catenianism all her life! She and Kenneth were prolific visitors across Province 6 and beyond, especially during his year as Provincial President 1993-94, and their membership of the Catenian Caravanning Fellowship since 1968 brought more distant Circles within range. Latterly, while they were still well enough to visit, Ladies Informals were their priority. Readers of the /Catena/ letters pages will recall Kathleen’s spirited advocacy for all major celebrations to be for members and their ladies.
May Kathleen rest in peace and rise in glory. Of your charity, please pray for her and for the consolation of Brother Kenneth, and their son and daughters and grandchildren.
