President Charlie Villa (centre of image) was pleased to welcome 44 visiting brothers along with 20 brothers from our own circle for the annual Peter Eady Quiz. Our visiting brothers came from 9 different circles in Province 6 and Kidderminster brothers were extremely pleased that our annual quiz was supported so well by our neighbouring circles. The guests included Bro Paul Clancy, our Provisional President, who was part of the Droitwich team. This year the event was held at our new venue, The Granary at Shenstone near Kidderminster. Question Master Andrew Kinsella set eleven rounds with five questions in each round with topics ranging from science to sport. Half way through the quiz a tasty dinner of steak and ale pie with chips and vegetables was served which was followed by a dessert of profiteroles with a chocolate sauce. The Morgan Cup was also ‘up for grabs’ and with Solihull registering the most members present they were able to claim it. The Morgan Cup collection amounted to £73.07 for the bursary fund whilst a raffle held during the evening for our presidents charities raised £270.00. After checking all the answers City Of Lichfield circle were declared the quiz winners having narrowly defeated Redditch circle into second place.
