Kenilworth Circle Past President Nigel Callaghan was amazed at raising £3645 for his Presidents Charity last year.

The money was raised at a range of activities including Circle dinner raffles, Circle Christmas card, carols night, cocktails & canapés evening and Nigel’s own Two Towers exploits – walking from St Mary’s church Warwick to Coventry Cathedral.

Nigel said “Choosing the charity was fairly easy. My Father had the condition and he slowly deteriorated over a two or three year period.  He needed care 24/7 during the last year of his life.  It is a tragedy that unfolds before your eyes.  My Dad wasn’t my Dad and it was sad.  So we at Kenilworth have raised money to help Alzheimer’s Society campaigning activity to stand up for people with dementia, funding research and working towards a better understanding and cure”.
